Nye Noona sent me her famous Jaew Bong. Wow… it was DELICIOUS! Very spicy, filled with herbs and spices. I can taste the shallots, the garlic, and the pork skin was a very nice addition. Thank you so much, Nye! I can’t believe I actually get to taste one of your “throw downs.” I’m a [...]
I freaking love som puk gud (pickled mustard cabbage)! My mom brought over a whole container for me. yes, I ate the whole thing in a matter of two days!! It seems like you can yum pretty much anything, so I made yum ham. It was good, but it was missing round onions. This was [...]

Mom came over and made one of my favorite traditional lao food. Tum mak hoong with kao poon, chicken wings, rice, and fried noodles! I forgot to to take pic of the fried noodles, but this was my plate! It was delicious!!
most of the foods that I posted on this blog were made by either by my Mom, sister, or cousin Robert. I’m not much of a cook, but I try. Here are some of my dishes! spicy noodles/tum kaopoon (I love mine with cilantro and scallions and lots of tomatoes) Kaopiek/con-gee/porridge/rice soup (I like mine [...]
